Volunteer medical team saving lives of children with heart defects in Jamaica

Nov. 27, 2019

After the previous successful mission in Jamaica, the Chain of Hope’s highly skilled volunteer medical team returned to treat more children with congenital heart diseases. The team was led by Dr. Alan Magee from the University of Southampton and worked together with the local cardiac team at the Jamaica Children’s Heart Centre.

Nine children received cardiac treatment on this medical mission. Abbott’s Little Heroes Campaign has supported these procedures by providing life-changing technologies.

Delano had a bright smile after his heart surgery.

Daniella, ready to get out of bed and back to her energetic self.

Cannalise was smiling again soon after her cardiac procedure.

Little Dantay was ready to go home after his successful operation.
